Grenada eSIM vs Physical SIM Card: Activation and Setup Compared
Unrestricted Hotspot Sharing
Local SIMs may throttle tethering after a data cap. Roami eSIM allows full-speed hotspot on all plans, ideal for sharing with multiple devices.
Multi-Country Roaming Without Penalty
Digicel's data bundles don't work abroad; roaming costs EC$0.30/MB. Roami eSIM offers regional plans covering multiple Caribbean islands seamlessly.
Bypass Grenada's Strict SIM Passport Requirements
Both Digicel and Flow require passport presentation at purchase. Roami eSIM needs no ID, activating instantly online.
Keep Your Home SIM Active
Physical SIMs require removing your home SIM, risking loss and missing verification codes. Roami eSIM works alongside your home SIM, keeping you connected.

For a tourist in Grenada, is Flow or Digicel the better choice?
Flow and Digicel cover Grenada’s mobile market. Flow serves roughly 60% of mobile users with the fastest urban data speeds. Digicel reaches more remote areas, with about 10% broader geographic coverage. Grenada is primarily 3G/4G. With Roami, you get the best of both — automatic switching. -

A 5GB plan provides roughly 500 hours of WhatsApp audio calls or 10 hours of FaceTime video. -

Coverage in Grenada reaches about 95% of urban areas but drops in remote locations. Speeds may fall from 200-300 Mbps (5G) to 10-30 Mbps (4G). Roami auto-switches to the strongest network. Download offline maps before heading to remote areas. -

Yes — Google Maps uses about 5MB per hour for navigation with real-time traffic. Download offline maps for Grenada (about 200-500MB per city) before you go as a backup. -
