Eliminate 90% Waste on 31-Day Plans

Unlock Hotspot Blocked by Lyca Mobile
Lyca Mobile explicitly prohibits and blocks tethering. Roami allows full-speed hotspot on all plans, perfect for sharing with laptops.
Avoid Base's €3/MB Swiss Roaming Trap
Base charges €3/MB in Switzerland. A 10MB usage costs €30. Roami offers flat-rate multi-country plans covering Belgium, Netherlands, and France.
Get Full EU Roaming Data, Not Capped
Lyca's 30GB plan only offers 27.55GB in EU roaming. Roami provides full data allowance across EU countries without FUP caps.

Belgium eSIM Coverage and Compatibility: Traveler Questions
What to expect from eSIM data in Belgium — network speeds on Proximus, Orange Belgium and Telenet, from Brussels to Ghent.
-
Do I need a passport or ID to use eSIM in Belgium? How does the verification work?
Yes, Belgium requires identity verification for eSIM. Belgium requires KYC verification for prepaid SIM cards. Passport required. Plenty of visitors only discover this after landing, then queue at Brussels on unreliable WiFi. Finish the Belgium verification before departure; it takes about 5-10 minutes. Also, some phones work better with Proximus’s network than others — check our eSIM compatibility page. -
How much should I budget for an eSIM when visiting Belgium?
Roami offers Belgium eSIM from $1.99 (1GB, 3 Days) up to $71.99 (Unlimited, 30 Days). Most Belgium visitors choose the 10GB / 7 Days plan at $9.99 — it covers navigation, social media and messaging without stress. If you stream or scroll heavily in Belgium, step up to a higher-capacity or unlimited plan. Proximus provides reliable speeds across Belgium. Belgium plans are prepaid — no surprise bills and no auto-renewal, just straightforward pricing. -
I need internet access for just a couple of days in Belgium. What's the minimum I can buy?
The cheapest Belgium plan is $1.99 for 3 days with 1GB — enough for a short break with light data use. If you need more, top-up anytime from the app. -
Can I buy a Belgium eSIM at the last minute, right before my flight?
Yes — your Belgium QR code is emailed within minutes of purchase. You can order the Belgium eSIM at the gate and install it on the plane over WiFi. When you land in Belgium, just enable Data Roaming and you’ll be online immediately. -
I'm arriving in Belgium late at night. Will I be able to get online immediately?
Yes. Install the Belgium eSIM before departure and you will be online within 2 minutes of landing. Enable Data Roaming, and your phone picks up Proximus automatically. No queues, no paperwork — and no hunting for a Belgium SIM kiosk at midnight. -
Do I need to remove my physical SIM to use eSIM in Belgium?
Not at all. Your physical SIM stays in slot 1. The eSIM works alongside it in slot 2. Keep your home SIM for calls and SMS, and let the Belgium eSIM handle data. More than 80% of handsets released since 2020 handle this dual-SIM setup on Belgium trips. -
Can I install my Belgium eSIM at the airport, or should I do it before leaving home?
Install your Belgium eSIM before you leave home; it needs a stable connection and takes about 2 minutes. Your Belgium eSIM QR code reaches your inbox within 5 minutes of purchase. At Belgium’s airport, enable Data Roaming and you’ll be online in under 60 seconds. -
What's the difference between a 5GB plan and an unlimited plan for Belgium?
A 5GB Belgium plan gives you that amount of high-speed data in total. Once it is used up you simply top up or buy another Belgium plan. An unlimited Belgium plan keeps you connected, though speeds may ease after 30GB in a day under fair use. For most Belgium visitors — maps, messaging and social media — 5GB is plenty. -
Is there a cheap Belgium eSIM for a short trip?
Yes — Belgium eSIM plans start at $1.99 with no contract and no hidden fees. Short 3- and 7-day plans are the cheapest option for a quick visit, and you only pay for the days you need. Billing is prepaid, so nothing renews after your trip. -
Can I get a Belgium eSIM with a local phone number?
The Belgium eSIM is data-only — no local number attached. That is deliberate: it keeps the price down and removes any registration. Your own SIM keeps working for calls and texts, and apps like WhatsApp or FaceTime run over the eSIM’s data connection. -
How do I know whether my phone supports a Belgium eSIM?
eSIM needs both an unlocked handset and the right hardware. iPhones from XS onward, Pixels from 3 onward and recent Samsung Galaxy devices all work. Dial *#06# to reveal an EID; if it shows, you are set. The Belgium eSIM compatibility page lists every supported model.
